The policy of BSS Plus is to only pay for hotels as a temporary solution when housing has been identified and is not immediately available for move-in. It is not the intention of BSS Plus to pay for hotels as a long-term housing solution.
In order to receive reimbursement through the BSS Plus Program for clients’ hotel stays, case managers must provide both proof of permanent housing and an established move-in date. This can be achieved by either demonstrating the official signed rental lease, a completed Landlord Verification Form, or the new address with landlord contact information (including name, phone number, fax number, and email address).
The BSS Plus partner agencies can either use their agency’s credit card or put in a check request for all clients’ hotel accommodations.
